The Titan® OBD II Code Reader is made for most cars manufactured after 1996 and is specially designed to work with all OBD II compliant vehicles, including those equipped with the next-generation protocol, Control Area Network (CAN). Required by the EPA that all 1996 and newer vehicles (cars and light trucks) sold in the US must be OBD II compliant and this includes all Domestic, Asian and European vehicles. A small number of 1994 and 1995 model year gasoline vehicles are OBDII compliant. Check the VECI (Vehicle Emissions Control Information Label which is located under the hood or by the radiator of most vehicles. If the vehicle is OBD II compliant, the label will be designated "OBD II Certified." Additionally, Government regulations mandate that all OBD II compliant vehicles must have a "common" sixteen-pin (DLC) Data Link Connector. Featuring a 2.4 in. backlit display with clear and concise menus and scan results. Buttons are large and easy to use with gloves. Plug and play connectivity makes it easy to retrieve diagnostic codes without the need for setup. Codes read include readiness status (emissions), Vehicle information, generic (P0, P1, P2, P3 and UO), manufacturer specific (P1, P3 and U1) codes and pending codes, live PCM data stream, battery testing, battery voltage monitoring, battery evaluation, and component/system testing and provides trouble code look up library. You also have the control to turn off the service engine light for your vehicle, and view freeze frame data. If you want an easy and reliable tool to help you keep your vehicle running trouble free, Titan® has you covered.
