The only thing worse than a broken bolt is a broken extractor. ProMAXX® ProKits can be upgraded to be EXTRACTORLESS.Drilling metals introduces many challenges including the hardness of the metal, accessibility, and the thickness of the material. Finding quality drill bits to meet the above conditions is becoming more difficult today. Our gold tooling is machined turned right here in the USA and engineered to not only handle a wide variety of material types and hardnesses, but it is also manufactured to a specific tolerance to ensure the most accurate and trouble free drilling today. That is why we call it tooling, the same high quality used in high speed machine shop operations. As a technician, we know your time is valuable, so we designed our bits to punch through quickly and accurately to deliver the predictable results you expect. At ProMAXX Tool, our ProTaps are all machine-grade bottoming taps. We are able to provide this right off the start of tapping because the ProMAXX ProKits allow for the guide bushing to keep perfect alignment of the tap during the entire repair.Bottoming taps have tapered cutting edges before the full cutting force is engaged. Though this tap is extremely hard to start threads with, it is capable of cutting threads all of the way to the bottom of a blind hole. Bottoming taps are best used after a taper or plug tap has been used to cut the initial thread.
